Education
A homeless or low-income woman who has dropped out of high school may not see much hope. For most, the greatest barrier to success is a lack of self-esteem arising from too many failed opportunities and overpowering struggle of daily life -- health concerns, child care, homelessness, poverty, Welfare dependency.

York Street Project meets the changing needs of poor, under-educated women at Kenmare High School. In addition to providing an accredited curriculum that gives them the educational foundation required to achieve a high school diploma, Kenmare offers our women the tools needed to overcome the additional barriers poverty places in their path.
